A tribute to Kazimir Malevich.
Inspired by his "Sportsmeny" painting (Sportsmen), from 1931.
This iconic artwork signalled the artist’s return to figuration in his Post-Suprematist phase after the 1920s. Its image is straightforward yet striking – four colourful harlequinesque figures facing the viewer against a neutral background.
Each figure consists of five separable pieces, totalling twenty parts that you can mix and match. Their human outline, exactly like the one in the painting, is easily recognisable, along with its style. You can play with the head, arms, torso, and entire legs as you please.
This magnet appears in Pedro Almodóvar's 2021 film "Madres Paralelas".
From Beamalevich's collection of magnets inspired by 20th century art and architecture - the “M(art)gnets”.
