A wooden moving sculpturespired by the Spatial Construction designed by constructivist Gustav Klutsis.

Once out of the box, the Spatial Construction becomes an active part of the environment. You can hang it from a string, reshape it at will, display it as a decorative Constructivist sculpture, or experiment with other interactions. The emptiness and mobility of the sculpture allow for the creation of unique images and shadow projections.

The original sketch of this wooden tribute was drawn in 1921 by Gustav Klutsis and aimed to welcome the upcoming new wave of space utilisation and geometrical applications for public buildings to be erected in Soviet Russia at that time.

Similar to Malevich's suprematist Arkitektons, the Spatial Construction was designed to allow quick morphing of shape and changes in structure, offering the artist multiple creative possibilities. We have respected this by separately aligning the two concentric rectangular sheets within the outer structure, enabling the user to move and adjust the sculpture's centre of gravity as desired, whether symmetrically, hollowed out, or fully furnished with all its parts.

It arrives already assembled in a custom thick cardboard box.

Handcrafted in Barcelona using Oregon pine wood sourced from certified plantations.
