Welcome to the world of arches and shell structures. Mola 4 expands the Mola Structural System by introducing folding techniques and origami principles to demonstrate how form affects structural efficiency.
Expanded versatility and customization, with curved bars to simulate arches, origami-inspired shell structures, and exclusive new components, allow for unprecedented building and customization possibilities.
Probably the most realistic construction toy on the market today, Mola is an interactive physical model that simulates the behavior of architectural structures. Including a set of modular pieces easily combinable with magnetic assemblers, Mola allows you to translate paper plans into reliable 3D scale models that will obey the laws of nature just like a real-life building would.
Mola Structural Kit 4 works independently from Mola Structural Kit 1, Mola Structural Kit 2, and Mola Structural Kit 3, which you could combine to create many other structures.
In addition to some pieces you may know from previous sets, Mola 4 features an entirely new set of elements designed specifically for creating arches and shell structures.
- Arch bars: Mola 4's new curved spring is designed to simulate arches.
- Foldable origami sheets: To simulate them, we're adding pre-marked sheets in various shapes to simplify the building process. No origami expertise is needed.
- Surface connection: This specially designed connection enables these assemblies by attaching the sheets to a magnet.
