Malevich Sportsmen Statue #1
Couldn't load pickup availability
Representation in ceramic of one of the starring figures in Kazimir Malevich's 1931 painting, SPORTSMEN.
The figure is perfect for art collectors who have enough space for a more prominent size representation of this painting's figures. Affordable as well as brilliantly made, few items have the vivacity and presence of these shiny ceramic statues, due to their color plasticity and modernity, but also to the straight lines with which they shape the human silhouette, just as in the original painting.
Although round in shape, the base of the figure is flat, allowing the statue to stand as an exempt figure.
Piece 1/4 of the Sportsmen collection. More models available in our site.

The original work here referenced is a perfectly Suprematist portrait of four harlequinesque figures representing men in sporty outfits. One of Malevich's late period works, each figure was handmade in ceramic so no color or representation is lost, and all of them are individually available on our website.
Every statue —even from the same model— is unique, created and designed ad-hoc with the creative flair of the artist. They are all crafted in Italy and handpainted by the master ceramicist Stefano Puzzo; thus, there are no two identical pieces in any of the collections.
Ceramiche Puzzo is a historical family-run laboratory of ceramics, founded in 1976. It represents today a reference point for artists and designers, who are followed and supported during the realization of their works.
