They’re connected by slender and slightly scary-looking walkways that stick out in mid-air every few floors. It gives the whole building a sci-fi silhouette. The service tower housed all the heavy machinery used to mix and pour concrete during construction.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eLove it or hate it, you can’t ignore it. When it was built, it was intended to be a modernist dream for community living, but it had a rough reputation for a while. On a grey day, it looks like a fortress; when the sun hits it, you can see all the patterns in the concrete.
